TRANSPORT AND ASSEMBLY
The machine is delivered properly packed with a wooden cage. During all transport, it must be kept in its original vertical position.
During transfers, only loading systems (forklift, pallet truck, etc.) that have sufficient capacity to lift and move the machine should be used. No person must be positioned under the packaging or in the place of maneuver.
IMPORTANT: Support the machine only by the pallet base, the side walls or the ceiling are not designed to support the machine, never use them to lift / load the machine.
When leaving the machine on the floor, avoid shaking or dropping the machine.
IMPORTANT: When receiving the machine, make sure that it has not suffered any damage during transport. If you notice a blow to the packaging or machine, you must write it down on the carrier's delivery note and send us a copy of this delivery note along with the photographs of the damages appreciated. Failure to make this entry may incur in the rejection of damages.
If the machine is not assembled once it has been received, it should be kept in a dry place, free from humidity and direct sunlight.
Use caution when removing the machine from the packaging. The machine is bolted to the base of the packaging. The moving parts, such as the vertical column, are supported for transport, it is necessary to unblock these parts before putting the machine into service, to avoid any damage to the shafts.
MOUNTING LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
The mounting location must be clean and dry. The mounting base must support the weight of the machine according to the applicable local regulations, and must be free from vibrations from other machines.
The necessary free space must be available to be able to operate the machine as well as to guarantee access to doors and covers to carry out maintenance and repair work.
Pay particular attention that the ventilation grills do not receive dust or chips from other machines.

CHECK THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION OF THE MOTOR
To check the correct connection of the electrical phases, start the motor of the cooling pump and observe the direction of rotation of the shaft, it must coincide with the direction of rotation marked on the pump. If they do not coincide, reverse two of the phases in the machine connection input or in the electrical outlet of your installation.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATING THE MACHINE
1.- Connect the coolant inlet pipe with its metal grill, and insert it into the dirty coolant tank outlet of the machine to filter.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PLACE THE GRILL OR LARGE ITEMS MAY BE OTHERWISE ASPIRATED AND PUMP WILL BE DAMAGED.
2.- Connect the outlet tube provided and place it near the suction tank of the machine coolant to be filtered.
3.- Fill the inlet tube with the coolant you wish to filter. This will allow the pump to self prime for the first time.
4.- Press the power button to start, the machine starts to suck oil, if it did not turn off the machine and verify that all connections are correct.. It is normal for 1 or 2 minutes until the filtered coolant exits the FILTRAmaq, the important it’s that the entrance is full of oil.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT LET THE ENGINE RUN DRY AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE PUMP.
IMPORTANT: Machine is intended to be used for small particles filtration. Such as Tungsten Carbide particles. If large pieces of metal like the ones generated during milling or turning, then you should add first a prefilter before the FILTRAmaq, otherwise the pump will result damaged.
The maintenance of FILTRAmaq filtering systems is very simple. It consists of the following:
1.- Clean the grill located in the coolant inlet tube, over time dirt builds up causing the pump to suffer, failure to clean it from time to time will cause damage to the pump.
NOTE: The first time you start the machine, if the coolant is already dirty, clean it every day for the first few days. Afterwards you can do this cleaning once a week or even once a month, depending on the amount of dirt generated.
IMPORTANT: Never start filtering without this grid, or pump will result damaged.
2.- Check the coolant outlet tube: When very little oil is going out it cpuld be that the grill of the inlet tube is full: please clean this grill. Otherwise it is time to change the filtering cartridge.
3.- Changing the filter:
To change the filter, follow these steps:
1. Gradually loosen the 12 nuts and remove them.
2. Remove the rubber joint.
3. Remove the filtering cartridge: Because of its heavy weight it will be easier to remove every filter disc one by one.
4. Once drained remove the cartridge and dispose of it according to applicable recycling regulations.
5. Insert the new filtering cartridge with its two joints (bottom and top) and tighten the center nut M12 by hand.
6. Install the new rubber joint.
7. Close the lid and tighten the 12 nuts gradually, do not over tighten one side without tightening the other, excessive pressure on one side could cause the rubber joint to break.
